Wao, this is so wonderful! I just came across your second blog. Probably 99.9% of people are affected by anaesthesy & pain sometimes in their lives. Where was such direct information last year when I most needed it? I hope you have time to continue this service. Claire
Glad that you find it useful. There is a lot of information out there on the web, some is too primitive and useless and the other can be too complicated and difficult to understand by the general public. The intention of this blog is to provide accurate and reliable information that is palatable and easier to comprehend by most.
What a great service. Thank you. Have you done any research on the metaphysical implications of 'anesthesia' and 'pain'? Before we develop such physical conditions that require anesthesia to block perception of pain, I think we have learned to block perception of pain through rejection and denial of situations and circumstances in our lives that are beyond our normal abilities to cope. What do you think?
Love the cartoon! Reminds me of a quote of Baha'u'llah, "The essence of true safety is to observe silence..." However, in this case it looks like the turkeys are doing the right thing!!!
Of course we can control some levels of pain by many means, but only to a certain extent. It is important though not to neglect that component of treatment. Prevention is also quite essential.
